Today, we’re excited to announce something that we couldn’t wait to share. TD Bank, and the TD Charitable Foundation, have made a $3 million exclusive commitment to support NFCC financial education and counseling services for U.S. small business owners.
As one of the top ten largest banks in the United States, TD Bank works with more than 9 million people to provide banking services from Maine to Florida. TD Bank continues reach a growing number of Americans with a full range of retail, small business and commercial banking products and services.
Now, TD Bank will be working with the NFCC to help increase the capacity for member agencies to serve the personal financial counseling needs of small business owners. Recognizing the quality of the services provided by NFCC members, TD Bank identified the national network of nonprofits as a trusted solution for small business owners.
“NFCC Members have been always been dedicated to finding solutions for financial challenges of small business owners,” said NFCC president and CEO Susan C. Keating. ”TD Bank’s financial support will allow members to do even more for this important segment of the population.”
Using the Sharpen Your Financial Focus® (Sharpen) program as the initial framework, the first phase of the program will help to review each small business owner’s personal financial situation. As the program continues into the next phase, technology will support the development of customized curriculums, creating programs that will address each small business owner’s financial situation while helping them understand options for financing their business.
Thanks to TD Bank and the TD Charitable Foundation, we will continue to create programs specialized to our member agencies and their clients. With unique personal financial situations, each small business owner will have greater access to the resources they need.
