WASHINGTON, DC – February 10, 2026 – The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Wes Perkins to its Board of Trustees. Perkins, a seasoned financial services executive with nearly two decades of leadership experience, currently serves as Managing Vice President, Head of US Card Collections & Recoveries Strategy and Operations at Capital One.
Perkins brings extensive expertise in credit risk management, operational strategy, and consumer financial health to the NFCC Board. In his current role at Capital One, he leads strategies focused on pre-charge off delinquent accounts and post-charge off credit recoveries, as well as supplier and risk management for the Collections and Recoveries organizations.

Perkins has been with Capital One for 18 years, holding leadership roles across marketing, underwriting, fraud, and portfolio management within US Card and Small Business. He previously served as Chief of Staff for Capital One’s Branded Card business and led product management and strategy functions across US Card Fraud and Recoveries.

Perkins holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University. He is based in Richmond, VA, where he resides with his wife and three sons.
