Herb Weisbaum, The ConsumerMan, is a Contributing Editor at Checkbook.org, a nonprofit that helps consumers get good service and low prices. He also hosts Checkbook’s Consumerpedia podcast.

Herb is an Emmy-award-winning broadcaster, and one of America’s top consumer experts, who has been protecting consumers across the country for more than 40 years. During his distinguished career, Herb has covered the consumer beat for NBC News, CBS News, The TODAY Show, and Good Housekeeping magazine.

Herb is a proud graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, and a passionate animal lover who supports various pet rescue organizations in Western Washington.
